About Me!
Hi! My name is Aidan Sears, and I am a perfomer, composer, and educator based in the DFW Metroplex. I am a graduate of the University of North Texas with a Bachelor of Music degree in Jazz Studies, where I studied with Professors Brad Leali and performed in the Grammy-nominated One O’Clock Lab Band. I am extremely fortunate to have shared the stage with many well-known musicians in a variety of contexts including Brad Leali, Quincy Davis, Rufus Reid, Billy Childs, Steve Davis, Vincent Herring, Miguel Zenon, Paoli Mejias, Ed Soph, Matt Wilson, Dawn Clement, Jeff Lederer, Phillip Dizack, Ben Allison, Miki Hayama, Rob Parton, Davy Mooney, Ashlin Parker, Quamon Fowler, Rosana Eckert, Chris Milyo, and Frederick Sanders. I am honored to have performed as a semifinalist in the 2024 NASA Collegiate Jazz Saxophone competition and at the 2024 Detroit Jazz Festival collegiate competition as a finalist with the “Birdman Sextet.” My arrangements have been performed in various performances by Shelley Carrol, Brad Leali, Andre Hayward, Jeff Lederer, and Ben Allison. With over 7 years of private teaching experience, I aim to be a mentor for all of my students to foster a positive and productive learning environment. Thank you for reading and stopping by my site!
